"Hammerhead billiard supply is our business. Not only are we a pro-shop supply but we also restore tables (both home and commercial) and dabble in vending. Most of our vending is in the tavern business.
Several years ago our area experienced local league teams deciding they needed Worsted speed cloth on their play tables. Vendors do not willingly install such expensive cloth on bar tables. We only reluctantly covered two tables with Championship 3030 Worsted Tournament cloth. Competing bar owners and vendors used the other guys product. After short weeks the other guys product was shiny, torn and generally in truly bad condition. To my knowledge none of them have continued the experiment. Our two tables lasted 13 months and 16 months or more. Neither table was unplayable at that time. One was recovered because of an unsightly stain that an unruly customer made and one was recovered only because we wanted to put Championship Tour Edition double vulcanized rail rubber on. Normally we recover at least every 6 months and sometimes sooner.
To our way of thinking, the Championship Tournament cloth (though more expensive than bar cloth) was the cost effective way to go. The math was right. Needless to say we recovered with Championship Tour Edition and have since added other bar tables as well. The bar owners are pleased because their players love the tables and we are saving hard earned money.
Championship products have made true believers of us."
